Welcome
The summer holidays are behind us and school has begun. A big welcome to everyone – pupils and staff. The head pupil for the 2019-2020 session is Tom Flannery. There are 3 depute head pupils – Caitlin Corbett, Gemma Flett and Michelle Ross.

We have a Modern Languages Teacher for Next Year
Kinlochbervie High School has been allocated a Modern Languages Teacher for next session. Mr Alejandro Fernandez will be doing his probationary year with us. It’s great news.
Raising E-Safety Awareness – Thursday 27 June at 2.30 pm
Dear Parents/Carers
As part of the upcoming roll out of Chrome book devices for pupils in P6-S6, we would like to invite all parents to an online safety awareness workshop at Kinlochbervie High School on Thursday the 27th of June at 2.30pm.
We recognise both the benefits and the difficult challenges young people can face, and we aim to provide them and yourselves with as much key information as possible to empower them to become safe users of the internet and mobile devices.
The main purpose of the workshop will be to learn about specific online concerns and dangers which your child may face, and to find out how to work as a family and in partnership with school to minimise the risks.
We hope that by the end of the session, you will have a greater understanding of the dangers to be aware of, and know where to go for help and advice if you have concerns.
We look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible to what I’m sure will be a valuable and informative event.

Murals for KLB Village Hall
The S1 & S2 Art classes took on the challenge of painting a Sutherland style landscape mural in Kinlochbervie Village Hall as part of the hall’s refurbishment. The mural includes our 3 iconic mountains: Fionaven, Arkle and Stack, as well as some native species above and below the sea.
‘Wally the walrus’ also features – an idea from Amy McCaul who remembers going to see the walrus on the Mallen (near Loch Clash) this time last year. Kinlochbervie Nursery contributed by adding in their sea urchin and crab stencils.
Well done to everyone who worked on it – it looks fantastic!
